Jan Van Hove, Professor of International Economics at KU Leuven, combined his extensive academic experience with executive management assignments and directorships in the corporate world.
This combination of experiences led to the realization that companies are insufficiently aware of the impact of the international economic environment on their business activities and corporate strategy.

Jan Van Hove
Jan Van Hove combined his extensive academic experience with executive management assignments and directorships in the business world.
He was previously chief economist of KBC Group (2016-2021) and led KBC Insurance (2021-2025). He also chaired the boards of insurance broker ADD, mobility organization VAB, KBC Autolease, reinsurer KBC Group Re Luxembourg, and the KBC pension funds. He also served on the boards of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT), K&H Bank in Hungary, and Assuralia. As chair of the Economic Commission of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (VBO), he coordinated economic consultations between the sector federations in Belgium.
